It's never a good feeling when your paycheck bounces...
Ok, maybe I'm being a little dramatic. After all, I just had to call the office, and have them call the banking center downtown, who then called the branch I was at and told them that all was well and to give me my money. All in all it was only a two hour ordeal.
But still, when the teller takes your paycheck and says,'I'm sorry, there is insufficient funds to cover this.' Thats a new experience I've not had before, and doesn't fill me with a great deal of confidence.
Maybe I should just get direct deposit and get paid the night before.

It's just about time for me to get sick. I always do at the change of seasons. Ask me again next spring. But when the sweaters come out and the thermostat swings in the opposite direction it's pretty much a sure thing. I set aside a long sleeve shirt for work tomorow. gasp! The first time in about 8 months.
I didn't get to do a lot of what I really wanted to do this past summer. I didn't hit the golf course or even the driving range. I mean, who can afford the $20-$30 for a round, or has time to go out and hit a bunch of balls when there are dishes and laundry to do, cat boxes to change and animals who need entertained. I didn't take my boat out despite my best efforts. I still wonder if I shouldn't just sell the damn thing before my continual neglect of it renders it both useless and worthless.
I did do some things I had not planned on. I got to travel to some favorite places from my past. I asked someone to marry me and was grateful for her answer. I got to see my family during the summer, and to waterski. I got to enjoy the work I did, and actually enjoy the fruits of it without constant worrying.
I'm looking forward to fall. As for the rest, theres always next year.
The computer has not been our friend lately. It disconnects from the modem pretty regularly only to reconnect as if nothing happened, but disrupting all of the work done in the meantime. We've scanned it for every conceivable virus, spyware, adware, whatever and came up with zilch. I plan to replace the modem and/or the USB cable as a last ditch effort. I'll let you know how it goes.
