I have often professed my hatred for headhunters. So a lot of this is not new. But I feel like bitching about it anyway. To all of you job recruiters out there, please take a moment and heed this advice:
1) READ the stuff people send you. So you don't ask dumb questions like,"And what is your educational background? Is it mechanical in nature?" and I have to make answers like, "I have a BSME from the U of Michigan (dumbass) just like it says on the RESUME I just sent you."
2) Don't ask me if I know anyone who might be a good fit. I'm the one that's unemployed. I'm the one that's broke. All of my friends are fat dumb and happy up in Detroit. If I'm not a good fit, thats all I care about. And you asking make you look like an completely uncaring a&&hole, which, let's face it, you are.
3) Don't give me interview tips. I have SO been there and done that. I've had more interviews than this entire office put together. I have faced every conceivable question and know exactly how to handle each one.
Just a little advice, in the hopes that you will try not to piss me off during this difficult time. Thanks.
