I never thought a single day could be so frustrating, so tiring, so fraught with complications and delay, nor end up being so much fun, so anticipated, so overwhelmingly joyous. I seem to have caught some disease that makes you unable to stop smiling.
So many things went wrong, but it all turned out so right. I had two goals for the day and they were both achieved in grand form:
1) By the end of the day, I would be married to Staz
2) Everyone would have fun in the process.
Done and done. Everyone got up and danced as some point. Even our sticks-in-the-mud bridal party got out of their chairs once or twice to get down. We played everything, big band, boogie woogie, disco, 80's, top 40, and everyone had a ball. The STAFF had fun. The people who were WORKING that night told us how much fun we were to take care of. I couldn't have been happier.
Wrong. I am even happier as I write this. Now all of the relatives are gone, the dust settled, and I am left with my life again, intact, serene, and better than ever, for the one that I will share it with forever. There was never any doubt of it of course. It's just nice to have it on paper.
We're off on our honeymoon. Later.
